International cohousing experts to visit London in April
Charles Durrett and Kathryn McCamant, the award-winning Californian architects who pioneered cohousing in the USA and wrote the cohousing ‘bible’, will be guest speakers at a UK Cohousing Network Conference on Saturday April 24^th in London.

The programme will include lessons from
20 years of cohousing in the USA, project management and design and reports from established and developing cohousing projects in the UK.
Workshops will include overcoming obstacles, legal & finance, governance
and more.
This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for all those individuals and groups in the process of planning their own cohousing project and also for those just contemplating cohousing. The Fee will be £25/person.
Another workshop entitled “Getting it Built” will be held on Sunday 25th April in London. This all day event will give an overview of organising, planning, and designing a cohousing community and the steps necessary for site acquisition and learning from the lessons of other cohousing groups. It is most powerful when several people from the same group take the workshop together so that several participants have an understanding of the process ahead. Fee £100. Maximum 30 people.
