Corbenic Camphill Community is currently looking for volunteers

Would you like to have a life enhancing experience, learn new skills, meet new people and have fun? Why don’t you consider volunteering at Corbenic?
We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to come and join our warm and welcoming community, set in a beautiful rural landscape just 4 miles from Dunkeld. This really is a fantastic opportunity to gain invaluable experience, knowledge and skills whilst boosting your C.V. and employment prospects. Also, this is an excellent gap year for those still deciding what they would to study in further education.
At Corbenic life is shared on an extended family basis, building communities with a sense of integrity, dignity and worth. The community comprises of 120 people including 38 adults with learning difficulties, volunteers and employees. We have 7 households, each with approx. 6 adults with learning disabilities, 2 House Co-ordinators and 5 Volunteers. We have workshops such as bakery, craft, pottery, woodwork, biodynamic gardening, candle-making, estate and farm.
This is a full-time volunteering experience for a minimum of 6 months but ideally for 1 year. During this time, you will be living and working in Corbenic Camphill Community alongside our wonderful residents, building and developing relationships and enjoying experiences. The role includes supporting residents with their day to day living tasks in the home, encouraging participation in workshops and enjoying cultural festivals. You will receive full board and lodgings as well as a monthly allowance.
If you would like to find out more, then please get in touch and we can send you further information. Also, we would be happy to arrange a visit so you can get a feel for the community. We look forward to hearing from you.
